Our Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service.
For purposes of this Agreement, "Site" refers to the Company's website, which can be accessed at https://www.threadwise.ai or through our mobile application. "Service" refers to the Company's services accessed via the Site, in which users can create, post, and share discussion threads, responses, and media content in a structured, topic-based format. The terms "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Company. "You" refers to you, as a user of our Site or our Service.
By accessing our Site or our Service, you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (found here: Terms of Service), and you consent to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.
I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect both Non-Personal Information and Personal Information.
Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences generated based on submitted data, and number of clicks.
Personal Information includes your email address, username, profile image (if uploaded), and any content you submit (such as posts, comments, and media), which you provide during the registration and usage process. Depending on how you use the Service, it may also include optional fields such as display name, location, and links to external profiles.
1. Information collected via Technology
To activate the Service, only an email address is required. To use the Service thereafter, you do not need to submit further Personal Information, but you may choose to provide additional profile information (such as bio, avatar, or links) to enhance your profile.
We track information from your browser or our software application when you use the Service, such as referring URL, browser type, device, time/date of access, IP address, and cookie identifiers. This is done via cookies and similar technologies.
The Company may use both persistent and session cookies. Persistent cookies remain after your session ends, while session cookies expire when you close your browser. For example, we store a persistent cookie to track user login status and personalize your thread viewing preferences.
Browser Extension and Assistant Page Context
ThreadWise offers an optional browser extension that connects an authenticated ThreadWise session with the user’s personal assistant. The extension may display limited account and deployment information, such as the connected user, organization deployment, and connection status. It relies on the user’s existing authenticated ThreadWise session and does not copy or persist passwords, session cookies, or access tokens.
When requested as part of an assistant interaction, the extension may capture the visible viewport of the active webpage in the user’s current browser window. The active webpage may be a ThreadWise page or another website the user is viewing. The extension does not scroll the page, continuously record the screen, automatically activate another tab, capture background tabs, or include browser controls or the ThreadWise side panel in the resulting image.
A capture may contain website content visible to the user, including text, images, forms, personal communications, account or task information, and personal, financial, health, or other business information displayed on the active webpage. The extension may also collect selected text, the page path without query parameters or URL fragments, the capture time, and image dimensions. ThreadWise does not use the extension to collect a user’s general browsing history, clicks, keystrokes, mouse movements, passwords, payment-card fields, or content from pages that are not actively being viewed and captured for the requested assistant interaction.
Captured information is transmitted securely to the user’s authenticated ThreadWise deployment and used only to provide, secure, and support the requested assistant functionality. ThreadWise may process this information through service providers acting on its behalf where necessary to operate, secure, and support the Service. Captured webpage content and selected text are not used for advertising, sold to third parties, used for purposes unrelated to the requested Service, or used to determine creditworthiness or for lending decisions.
Screenshots and related artifacts are retained only as necessary to provide the applicable assistant session or saved conversation and are handled according to the Service’s conversation, artifact, security, retention, and deletion practices. Abandoned or discarded temporary sessions and their associated artifacts are scheduled for cleanup. If content becomes part of a saved conversation, the applicable saved-conversation retention practices apply.
Use of the browser extension is optional. Users can continue using ThreadWise without installing the extension. Users may disable or uninstall the extension through their browser and may submit privacy or deletion requests using the contact information in this Privacy Policy.
ThreadWise’s use of information received through browser extension APIs will comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
2. Information you provide us by registering
To create a profile, users must register by entering an email address, username, and password. This authorizes us to collect, store, and use your email and username as per this Privacy Policy.
Optional user content, such as posts, replies, links, and media, is also collected and associated with your account.
3. Children's Privacy
The Site and Service are not directed to anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover such data has been submitted, we will delete it as soon as possible. Contact us at support@threadwise.ai if you believe such information has been collected.
II. HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION
Personal Information:
We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personal Information without your consent. We may share it with vendors performing services for us (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics providers, email services) solely under our direction and only as needed to provide the Service.
We use Personal Information to:
Contact users
Solicit feedback
Provide technical support
Inform users about product updates, promotions, or service changes
Moderate content and enforce community guidelines
We may disclose Personal Information in response to legal processes, to enforce our Terms of Use, address security issues, or protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public, as permitted by law.
Non-Personal Information:
We use Non-Personal Information to improve the Service, analyze trends, administer the Site, and gather broad demographic data. We may share this type of information with partners or advertisers in an aggregated, anonymized form.
In the event of a business transition such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent to such transfers, and that continued use of the Site constitutes agreement to the new Privacy Policy.
III. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:

IV. YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING THE USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You can opt out of marketing and promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the message or updating your notification preferences in your Settings section on the Site.
Administrative emails regarding your account (e.g., password reset, legal updates) may still be sent even if you opt out of marketing messages.
4.1 DATA DELETION REQUESTS
You may request deletion of your account and associated Personal Information by emailing support@threadwise.ai with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Include the email address associated with your account and enough information for us to identify the account and understand the scope of your request. Do not send passwords or other sensitive authentication information by email.
To protect your information, we may ask you to verify your identity or account ownership before completing the request. We will acknowledge and process verified requests within the time required by applicable law and will notify you when the request is complete or if we need additional information.
Deletion requests are subject to applicable legal and operational retention requirements. We may retain limited information when necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, or enforce our agreements. Information stored in backups may remain until those backups are overwritten or expire through our regular retention cycle. We will explain any material limitation that applies to your request where required by law.
V. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
Our Service may link to third-party sites, such as embedded media or social profiles. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with any information.
VI. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Site and will take effect 30 days after notice. Non-material changes will take effect immediately upon posting.
